Laura on Top of the World

Laura called my cell phone from Camp 4 so excited she could barely talk. She summited Mount Everest with her sherpa last night. She said she was in a tent by herself resting since the rest of the family hiked down to camp 2. She is the youngest female Canadian to summit Mt. Everest at age 20. I am so proud of all of them.

Hooray! Congratulations. Successful summits for all and everyone safe! What a great outcome. You must be sad that you are not there to share it with them, but excited for them as Mom's always are.
What a great accomplishment. I cannot imagine taking off up Everest alone with a sherpa so I admire her bravery as well as her achievement.
